- This course represents an exciting new opportunity for our students here at Amundsen. We will be using the AP Modern World curriculum to guide us through the year, with the option of students taking the AP test in May, potentially earning college credit!
- The course covers world history and culture from the 1200s until the present. It truly is a world history course, requiring students to acquire a deep and complex understanding of historical events and processes across every inhabited continent throughout this time period.

DP Music

- The IB music curriculum guides students through developing as performers, creators, and researchers in a variety of musical contexts. Students are exposed to and work with a variety of musical traditions from around the world. In addition to performing four concerts over the 2-year course in ensembles, students will also develop their abilities to compose unique works of their own, and gain a rich musical vocabulary to discuss and interpret musical works in context.

Activities:

Debate Team

- Member of the Maroon Conference of the Chicago Debate League, participating in regular tournaments in Policy Debate (there are remote tournaments this year!)
- Meetings are Tuesdays and Thursdays via the Debate classroom; tournament schedule found on team classroom. Please email me for invitation to classroom and club.

Honors Chamber Ensemble

- The Honors Chamber Ensemble is a voluntary additional Ensemble in the Amundsen Strings program. Our goal is to provide more advanced and challenging repertoire for students to engage with in a smaller and more collaborative setting. We perform twice a year at the Amundsen Strings concerts.
