John Evans, IB Mathematics - DP Coordinator

John Evans has been an Amundsen Viking for over 20 years, and a member of the MYP/IB community for more than 15 of those. Currently he teaches one section of DP Accelerated Mathematics Applications and Interpretations, and coordinates the DP Program for Amundsen.

 

In all courses the focus is to have students "solve a variety of complex problems in unfamiliar contexts."

Throughout the years these classes have a strong focus on Common Core Standards of Mathematical Practice, SAT question strands, and IB Assessment Criteria.

 

Tutoring and conferences are available by appointment ([email protected]) during 4th and 5th period or after school. With two young children at home, time is difficult to manage.
