School Counselor: Sophia Darugar

Hi there! My name is Sophia Darugar, and I am the School Counselor for students with last names A-Cr. I am excited to get to know you this year!

 

For my undergraduate degree, I attended Boston University, where I majored in international relations. I completed my master’s degree in counseling at Northeastern Illinois University. Before becoming a school counselor, I worked in college-readiness helping students get ready for life after high school. I am a Chicago Public Schools graduate and I love helping students access all the resources and opportunities we offer here at Amundsen. 

 

As a counselor, I get to work with students to navigate high school, build skills for life, and achieve their goals for life after graduation. I work with a wonderful team of people to run the Senior Team and the Amundsen Post-Secondary Leadership Team.
