Kinka Micheva, Science Teacher

  Welcome to the 2024-2025 School Year! 

  My name is Kinka  Micheva and I am extremely excited to be part of the Amundsen Family for a fifth year! I will be teaching 5 sections of Chemistry/ Honors Chemistry.

Here's a little bit about me: I was born and raised in Bulgaria. There I earned my degree in Chemical Engineering, Teaching certification in Chemistry, Environmental Protection and General Science. Although this is my sixth year at Amundsen this will be my 14th year as an educator for CPS.

  My philosophy of education is that all children are unique and must have a stimulating educational environment where they can grow physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. It is my desire to create this type of atmosphere where students can meet their full potential. I will provide a safe environment where students are invited to share their ideas and take risks.
