About me

I am excited to be in my second year at Amundsen as a Diverse Learner Educator in the English 2 classroom with Ms. Close, where I am committed to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students. My passion for education is driven by a belief in the potential of every student, and I am dedicated to helping them achieve their best and enjoy their time here at Amundsen the moment they walk through the door. I attended DePaul University for my undergraduate where I studied Digital Cinema and received my Masters in Special Education from University of Illinois Chicago. 

In addition to my teaching role, I proudly serve as the boys' assistant track coach, where I enjoy mentoring and guiding our student-athletes both on and off the track. 

Outside of school, I enjoy capturing the world through photography and indulging in my love for movies. Watching films allows me to explore different perspectives and stories, which often inspires my teaching.
