I'm thrilled to be joining Team Amundsen for the 2025 school year!

 

For the last five years I have been co-teaching Honors English One, African American and Latine Lit, and AP Language and Composition at George Westinghouse College Prep.    Prior to that I taught at Beidler Elementary School in East Garfield Park, served on their Instructional Leadership Team, and acted as their Case Manager.

 

This is my 12th year in the classroom and teaching has been one of the great honors of my life. I believe that teaching and learning is a collaborative process- and I am thrilled to serve your student as both a teacher and a learner.  At Amundsen I am co-teaching four sections of Freshman English with Mr. Meverden as well as one section of Instructional Freshman English.  

 

When not at school I can be found reading by the lake or adventuring around Uptown with my wife Eve and our two year old son Irving.
