Amundsen Math Team Knows the Formula for Success!

Congratulations to the members of the Amundsen Math Team for their stellar performance on Saturday at Lane Tech! Shout outs go to Tyler S. and Amy E. who placed 3rd individually within their division. In addition, team awards went to the Algebra team (First Place), the Geometry team (2nd place) and the Pre-Calculus team (3rd place). Congratulations to our Viking Mathletes and to their coaches, Ms. Olga Prappas and Mr. John Evans. Great job Vikings!

Viking Swimmers take Conference for the 3rd year in a row!

On Saturday, January 26th, the Amundsen Boys Viking Swim Team won their conference for the third year in a row at the Roosevelt NW Conference Meet taking both first and second place in the 200 medley relay and finishing nearly 100 points ahead of their closest competitor, Mather High School. Congratulations to Coach Aleksandar Rusic and all of the boys for another amazing season! We are proud of you!

Amundsen Viking Scientists Discover Gold at NEIU

On Friday January 18th, our Amundsen Viking Scientists earned 8 gold medals at the CPS Area STEM Fair along with the right to advance to the City STEM Fair in March.

Free SAT/PSAT Bootcamps for Amundsen Students

This February Amundsen High School will be offering its students a free SAT/PSAT bootcamp for its 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students.

NEW PARENT PORTAL COMING SOON! Chicago Public Schools is excited to announce that starting April 22, 2019, Parent Portal will be replaced with a new system called Aspen. (Click here for more information)

Parents were asked to complete a brief online Parent Survey during the Q1 Report Card Pickup Day in order to transition to the new ASPEN program for Parent Portal. If you haven't done so, please complete the Amundsen Parent Information Survey.

Diverse Learner Support--District Action Plan with ISBE

As part of our continued commitment to supporting our diverse learners as outlined in the District Action Plan with ISBE, we are publishing Parent Updates, which detail actions and changes to current procedures, staff and parent training, resources, and contact information. We will continue to provide ongoing updates to support our parents as they become available. Our priority is to improve outreach and opportunities to the community in an effort to ensure quality and equitable services to all students.
