The Friends of Amundsen have announced that their annual fundraiser, Raise the Sails! will take place this year on March 6, 2021. Please save the date for what is expected to be the virtual event of the year. More information will be forthcoming. We look forward to seeing you there!

The results of our recent LSC election are now in. Please click on the link to read a summary of the results and a letter from Principal Pavichevich regarding the election. Congratulations to the winners and thank you to all those who were willing to serve. Results will be certified at the Special LSC meeting on Wednesday December 2, 2020 at 5pm.

Amundsen freshman Dominic V. is currently ranked 1st in Algebra across all schools in our division after two back to back 1st place finishes in Chicago City Math competitions!! Team Geometry came in 2nd place, and the Algebra 1 team placed third. Great job Viking Mathletes! The team's next contest is in 2021, so there is still time to get involved. The Amundsen math team is open to all interested Amundsen students.

While we may be apart, we can still make a difference together as a Viking team. Let’s connect our community through giving. Friends of Amundsen are partnering with the student members of Taste the Difference Club to collect food and goods for the Common Pantry to help fight hunger in our community. This event will run from December 7th through December 16th. For drop-off locations and other ways to give, please click on the link above.
