We invite you to join us for a Freshman Parent Night on October 7th from 6:00-7:00 pm. Please fill out the parent night registration form (linked above) to indicate which session you plan to attend. You may sign up for multiple nights if you have multiple students.

Attention parents and guardians of Amundsen student athletes! Please read the letter (linked above) from AHS Athletic Director, Adrian Jackson, concerning the new CPS health screening requirement for student athletes participating in programs at CPS facilities. All students must complete a health screener prior to arriving to the school each day and will also have their temperature checked upon arriving at school. Please see the letter for details and reach out to Mr. Jackson if you have any questions regarding the requirement. Thank you!

Attention Amundsen Parents and Students! Our AMAZING Viking Navigator team has been helping Amundsen students find their way to class since the first day of school, but now that things are settling down, we are making some changes to better serve our students during remote learning. Effective Monday, September 21st, there will only be one Navigator meet that will serve all students daily from 7:30am until 2:30pm. Students in need of help should log in to their CPS account and go to meet.google.com and enter the code: vikingnavigators to access AHS staff who can help them. Please reach out to our staff if you experience difficulty in accessing this room. Thank you from the Viking Navigators. We look forward to serving you!

The Amundsen Counseling Department will host online parent nights for AHS parents on the following dates this fall. SENIORS: 9/21/20 @ 6PM; FRESHMEN: 10/07/20 @ 6PM; and SOPHOMORES & JUNIORS: 10/13/20@ 6PM. Please click on the link above to access the form to register for the session that you wish to attend. Zoom invitations will only be sent to registered participants so make sure you register in advance!

Attention Amundsen Students! Are you tired of sitting at home by yourself? If so, it's time to join something social (okay, remotely social, but social). If you've never joined a school club, this is definitely the year to do so. To learn about the many great clubs at Amundsen, join us for Amundsen's annual Club-A-Palooza event, which is happening after school on Monday and Tuesday, September 21st and 22nd. Good Morning Vikings! Beginning today, Monday September 14th, we will be operating our regular bell schedule, shown above. Students begin each day in 1st period and not advisory. Please make sure you are following the correct schedule. Have a great week!

Attentio families of Amundsen Seniors! We will be offering the SAT at Amundsen this September and October. Your senior must opt in to testing by Tuesday, September 15th in order to participate. This is a graduation requirement. Students who do not take the test now will be scheduled for a date in Spring of 2021, which may be too late for college admission decisions. Viking Families, our team cannot express how impressed we are with the hard work and dedication that is being demonstrated by our students and their families as they access remote learning in this unusual year. In response, our athletic coaches are excited to introduce the Viking Fitness Academy. Our coaches will be recording video workouts and making them available on our social media platforms. A new video will be posted every Friday during remote learning, so be sure to tune in to our new Amundsen YouTube Channel (linked here) to view. Keep up the great work Vikings! We are proud of you!
