CPS Grading Semester 2

The Jorndt Joy of Teaching Award winners are Mr. Evans, Ms. Frcka and Mr. Pedersen.

Thank you Dan and Patricia Jorndt for your immense generosity and continued support of Amundsen High School.

Thank you for purchasing tickets to the Raise the Sails Fundraiser, your
support of Friends of Amundsen is so appreciated. As you all know, the
health and safety of our students and community is our highest
priority. After careful consideration, and in light of the ever-changing
Coronavirus (COVID-19) developments, Raise the Sails has been
postponed until Spring 2021. We are all disappointed, but look forward to
gathering together in the future in support of Amundsen.

Our plan is to transfer the purchased 2020 event tickets and 'Heads and
Tails' to the 2021 event. If you are unable to attend next spring, please
consider your purchase as a tax-deductible donation to Friends of
Amundsen. If you prefer a refund, please email us at

Stay tuned for the 'Scooter Raffle' this Fall! All tickets purchased are valid and
will be in the fall drawing. Since the students were participating in this effort
and with remote learning in place, we feel it is best to postpone the drawing
and ticket sales for full participation.

We hope you can all still be part of Raise the Sails 2021. The latest
information will always be available at friendsofamundsen.org. Thank you
for your understanding and if you have any questions, please do not
hesitate to reach out.

We hope you all are all staying safe and healthy during this
unprecedented time. We look forward to seeing our Amundsen community in person very soon.

Dear Amundsen Parents and Families,

The last few months have been a huge transition for all of us, and I want to thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue to work through details and adjust to remote learning. Because our building will be closed for the rest of the school year, we have developed a plan––in accordance with clear guidance from the district––that will allow you to collect your child’s personal items from school as safely and expeditiously as possible.
